What subscription plans does Placeholder3 offer?
We offer three plans: Basic ($7.99/month) for HD streaming on one screen; Standard ($12.99/month) for Full HD on two screens with mobile downloads; and Premium ($19.99/month) for 4K Ultra HD on four screens with unlimited downloads and early access to exclusive content. All plans can be cancelled at any time.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes. New members are eligible for a free trial period. Simply choose your plan, create your account, and you won't be charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel before the trial expires at no cost — no questions asked.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings with a single click. There are no cancellation fees and no notice period required. Your access continues until the end of your current billing cycle. We don't penalise you for leaving and welcome you back whenever you're ready.
Can I change my plan after subscribing?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and you are billed a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. All transactions are processed through a secure 256-bit SSL encrypted connection. Your full payment details are never stored on our servers.
Are there any hidden fees or long-term contracts?
None. Our pricing is completely transparent. You pay the advertised monthly rate and nothing else. There are no setup fees, no minimum commitment periods, and no cancellation penalties. What you see on the pricing page is exactly what you pay.
Streaming Quality
What video quality does Placeholder3 stream in?
Quality depends on your plan. Basic delivers HD 720p, Standard delivers Full HD 1080p, and Premium delivers 4K Ultra HD with HDR support where the content is available. All plans use adaptive bitrate streaming, which automatically adjusts quality based on your internet connection to minimise buffering.
What internet speed do I need for smooth streaming?
For HD 720p we recommend a minimum of 5 Mbps. For Full HD 1080p, 15 Mbps is recommended. For 4K Ultra HD streaming, a minimum of 25 Mbps is required for the best experience. Our adaptive streaming system will automatically reduce quality if your connection drops temporarily.
Can I download content to watch offline?
Downloads are available on the Standard and Premium plans. On Standard, you can download to mobile devices (iOS and Android). On Premium, you get unlimited downloads across all supported devices. Downloaded content is available for 30 days and must be played within 48 hours of first pressing play.

Which devices can I use to watch Placeholder3?
Placeholder3 is available on web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge), iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Smart TVs (Samsung, LG, Android TV), Apple TV, Chromecast, and Fire TV Stick. The number of simultaneous streams depends on your plan: 1 screen on Basic, 2 on Standard, 4 on Premium.
How many simultaneous screens can I use?
The Basic plan allows streaming on 1 screen at a time. The Standard plan allows 2 simultaneous screens, making it ideal for couples or small households. The Premium plan allows up to 4 screens at once, perfect for families where everyone wants to watch something different.
Content Library
How large is the Placeholder3 content library?
Our library currently includes over 10,000 titles spanning feature films, TV series, documentaries, and exclusive originals. We add new content every week and regularly refresh the catalogue. Our editorial team actively curates the library to ensure every title meets our quality standards.
How often is new content added?
We add new titles every week. New theatrical releases typically appear on our platform within 60–90 days of their cinema debut. We also add classic and curated films regularly based on member feedback and our editorial calendar. Premium subscribers get early access to selected exclusive titles before they go wide.
Can I request specific films or TV shows?
Yes. We actively encourage content requests from our members. You can send your suggestions to
admin@placeholder3.ca with the subject line "Content Request". Our content team reviews all requests monthly and they genuinely influence our acquisition decisions.
Account & Settings
How do I create an account?
Click any "Start Watching" or "Subscribe" button on the site, choose your preferred plan, enter your name and email address, add your payment details, and click "Start Streaming Now". The whole process takes less than two minutes and your account is activated immediately.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the login page, click "Forgot Password" and enter your registered email address. We'll send you a secure password reset link valid for 60 minutes. If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact us at

Does Placeholder3 sell or share my personal data?
